3 BEST WAYS TO TAKE A SCREENSHOT IN WINDOWS

Windows 10 had introduced a new way to take a screenshot in windows 10 in the update of Windows 10 October 2018. Many people get confused about how to take a screenshot in pc so we are writing this article to overcome your problems.

How to take a screenshot in Windows?

1) Windows 10

Print Screen

To capture the entire screen, the print screen works well. If you have a default setting then, try the hotkey Windows logo(⊞)+PrtSc works well. Just have a try. If that does not work, try other hotkey like Ctrl+PrtSc or PrtSc or Ctrl+Fn+PrtSc or Fn+PrtSc or Alt+PrtSc or Alt+Fn+PrtSc.

To access the screenshot taken in windows 10, press Win+E to open windows explorer and navigate to the pictures library and click in the screenshots folder.

Snip and Sketch

Snip and Sketch are preinstalled in windows 10. They can quickly annotate screenshots, photos, and other images with a mouse, pen, and save, paste, or share with other apps.

Steps to take a screenshot

  • Open Snip and Sketch
  • Click on the New button in the upper left to start a screen capture.
  • Draw a shape in any part which you want to capture
  • Then, it will open in the application. Then save it (Ctrl+S).

Snipping Tool

Snipping Tool does not automatically capture a screenshot. You need to manually save the capture screen. It works the same as Snip and Sketch.

  • Open Snipping Tools from the search panel
  • Click on the New button.
  • Snip the part you want to capture
  • Then save it.(Ctrl+S) in a specific location.

2) Windows 8

Switch to the Start Screen and launch your software which you want to screenshot. to take a screenshot, hold down the windows logo(⊞), and press the PrtSc button on your keyboard.

To access the screenshot taken in windows 8, press Win+E to open windows explorer and navigate to the pictures library and click in the screenshots folder.

3) Windows 7

Use Snipping Tools

This method is the same as in windows 10.

Steps for Snipping Tools

  • Open Snipping Tools from the search panel
  • Click on the New button.
  • Snip the part you want to capture
  • Then save it.(Ctrl+S) in a specific location.

Default PrtScn Button

To take a screenshot, hold down the windows logo(⊞) and press the PrtSc button on your keyboard.

To access the screenshot taken in windows 7, press Win+E to open windows explorer and navigate to the pictures library and click in the screenshots folder.
