Well, the problem may occur due to wrong chrome or Microsoft edge Settings, Network adapter driver, or DNS settings.

In this article, we will discuss how to solve the problems in Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

1) Switching Between the Browser Temporarily

You need to use alternative methods if the problems proceeds. If the problem occurs in Chrome, you can use other browsers like Microsoft Edge or Firebox and for others, choose your preference browsers.

My suggestion for browsers are Chrome, New Microsoft Edge based on Chromium, Firebox, or Opera.

2) Clear Browsing data or cache

Sometimes, the errors occur due to the cache of the website. So try clearing the browser data and cache. If that did not help to fix this site can’t be reached problem or we can’t reach this page, proceed to other methods.

Chrome

  • Open chrome://settings/clearBrowserData in the address bar or Ctrl+Shift+Del and a popup will appear.
  • Click Clear Data.

3) By Resetting or flushing TCP/IP

Resetting TCP/IP is another solution to the problems. To reset IP

  • Open CMD( Run as Administrator)
  • Type the following command one by one and press enter.

  1. netsh winsock reset
  2. netsh int ip reset
  3. ipconfig /release
  4. ipconfig /flushdns
  5. ipconfig /renew

4) Reset Chrome and Microsoft Edge Settings

Resetting the settings of chrome and Microsoft edge may help you in these problems.

Microsoft Edge

  • In the address bar of Edge, type edge://settings/reset and press enter.
  • On the top, click on Restore settings to their default values and popup will come.
  • Click Reset.

  • In the address bar of Edge, type chrome://settings/resetProfileSettings and press enter.
  • A popup will appear and click on Reset settings.

5) Enable IPv6

In order to enable IPv6, follow the method below;

  • Go to the control panel and go to Network and Sharing Center.
  • Click your connected network and click on properties(Not Wireless Properties).
  • Tick the box near  Internet Protocol Version 6(TCP/IPv6).

6) Changing DNS Server

Sometimes the DNS problems of IPV4 might cause such type of issues. So changing the DNS server might help you.

IPv4

  • Go to the control panel and go to Network and Sharing Center.
  • Click your connected network and click on properties(Not Wireless Properties).
  • Select Internet Protocol Version 4(IPV4) and click on properties.
  • Select Use the following DNS server address and enter the following Google DNS.
    Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8
    Alternate DNS: 8.8.4.4
  • Don’t forget to click on Validate Settings Upon Exit.

7) Checking Internet Connection

If you are unable to open any webpages or websites in any browser, kindly check your internet connection. May be poor internet connection or no internet connection is the reason for “This site can’t be reached”.

If you still can’t find solutions then try a built-in windows troubleshooter, That might fix the network problems related to the internet.

8) Update Windows 

Updating Windows might helps you to solve the problem. Maybe its the fault of windows itself and windows have fixed those errors in the next update. So check for windows install and install the update.

9) Open the website in Incognito mode

Try opening the webpages in incognito mode.

For chrome and Microsoft edge, press Ctrl+Shift+N. It will open incognito mode in Chrome or private windows in edge.
